Cignal HD Spikers ace Jao Umandal reveals the real score between him and longtime girlfriend Ysabel Jimenez of the Galeries Tower Highrisers.
While Jao Umandal has been known for his all-around performance in attacking, blocking, and even from the service line, this volleyball hottie only sees one woman when it comes to love.

In a Poplife PH feature, Jao shares his relationship status with Galeries Tower Highrisers go-to gal, Ysa Jimenez.
Jao played a challenge called “Spike or Pass” (Jojowain or Totropahin - volleyball version). Among all the beautiful faces of Philippine volleyball and even celebrities, Umandal said “pass” to all of them. According to the Cignal HD Spikers star, only one woman is meant for his heart.
And that would be Ysa.
“Si Ysa, since high school, kami na magkasama. Ups and downs namin, career namin, magkasama na kami. Hindi pa ako gano’n kakilala, siya gano’n din, kami na ‘yong magkasama. Eight years na kaming magkasama. Siya ‘yong kasama ko sa hirap at ginhawa,” said Jao.
“So, she’s the one?” asked the reporter.
“She’s the one talaga,” Jao answered proudly.

“Soon. Sa ngayon, hindi pa namin pinag-uusapan. Magfo-focus muna kami sa career namin, sa journey na tatahakin namin. Support lang kami sa isa’t isa,” added Jao.
Jao and the Cignal HD Spikers are having a good run to start the Spikers’ Turf 2024 Open Conference, opening with three straight wins. Meanwhile, Ysa plays a crucial role for a Galeries Tower team that's on the rise in the PVL.
