Kai Sotto is determined to end his breakout season strong.

With only two weekends left to his B.League season, including this one, Sotto started the homestretch of his initial stint with Yokohoma on a winning note, helping the B-Corsairs score a 79-69 victory over the Shinshu Brave Warriors Saturday.

Kai went for 18 points and seven rebounds, a nice bounce-back effort after struggling against the FE Nagoya last week.

Sotto likewise had four blocks, which ties his career-high.

In other B1 results, Matthew Wright scored 27 points but the Kyoto Hannaryz collapsed in the fourth, taking the 89-87 loss to FE Nagoya.

Wright scored 20 points in the second half, with eight coming in the fourth.

Unfortunately, the rest of the Hannaryz only scored one point in the last 10 minutes, and the Fighting Eagles used a 25-9 surge to snatch the victory.

At the Dolphins Arena, Ray Parks Jr. contributed eight points as Nagoya picked up a crucial 83-77 win over defending champion Ryukyu.

The Diamond Dolphins (38-19) continue to close the gap on the Golden Kings (40-17) for the Western Conference championship, with the winner earning homecourt in round 1 of the playoffs.
