The B.League relegation has been finalized for the upcoming 2024-25 season, and unfortunately two teams featuring Pinoy Asian Quota imports will be sent down to the B2.

The Toyama Grouses were the first to officially relegated, finishing last in the B1 for the 2023-24 season with a 4-56 record.

Toyama featured familiar names, with former PBA imports Quincy Miller and Johnathan Williams suiting up for the team.

However, the most notable member of the Grouses was AJ Edu, although his first stint as a professional was cut short due to a torn meniscus.

Edu appeared in 14 games for Toyama, before suffering his injury in early November last year. He averaged 13.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.0 steals.

The second team to suffer relegation were the Shinshu Brave Warriors, featuring RJ Abarrientos as the Asian import and Matthew Aquino as a local.

Shinshu finished the season with a 10-50 record.

Abarrientos, last year’s KBL Rookie of the Year, showed flashes of brilliance with the Brave Warriors but ultimately only averaged 7.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 49 games for his first year in Japan.

All his numbers are down from his KBL averages of 13.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.

Meanwhile, Aquino appeared in 33 games and went for 2.2 points and 1.5 rebounds in limited minutes.
