One more season for Kelly Williams.

This after the former league MVP signed a contract extension with TNT Tropang 5G until the end of PBA Season 50, the team announced on Tuesday, May 13.

At 43, Williams remains an integral part of the MVP Group’s flagship franchise that is gunning for a rare Grand Slam this season.

In TNT’s first six games of the Philippine Cup, Williams is averaging 7.33 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.67 assists in 22.56 minutes of action.

Drafted as the top overall pick by the then Sta. Lucia Realtors in 2006, the 6-foot-7 cager from Detroit has won 10 PBA championships, on top of a Most Valuable Player award in 2008. Kelly was also the Rookie of the Year in 2007, among other recognitions.

With this contract extension, barring any major injuries, Williams is bound to see is 20th year in the PBA.

At the time of his extension, the Tropang 5G have rekindled the fire that allowed them to lord over the Governors' Cup and Commissioner’s Cup.

After a sloppy 0-3 start, TNT found its form and won three straight to cap the first half of the elimination round with an even 3-3 win-loss record.
