"Little Giant" Sisi Rondina now owns most 30-point games by a PVL local

The 2024 PVL season is just firing on all cylinders.

In the All-Filipino Conference, several new entries were registered in the 30-point club.

The latest two were courtesy of Petro Gazz star Brooke Van Sickle, who dropped a career-high 36 points, and then another 30 for the Angels in the bronze medal series against Chery Tiggo.

If you strip the game of volleyball to its most basic core, the goal is simple: get them points.

And since the Premier Volleyball League turned pro, these strong women have gotten good at getting buckets. So before the PVL heads into what should be another milestone season, we present the best-scoring performances featuring only local players.

Behold, the PVL All-Fiipino 30-point club.

#1 TOTS CARLOS - 38 POINTS

It’s Tots Carlos’ world, we’re just living in it.

In an electric performance, the Creamline superstar broke the PVL’s local scoring record in a clutch performance against Cignal.

Carlos reset her career-high to 38 points, thus breaking Alyssa Valdez’s non-pro record of 37 points, and Sisi Rondina’s local pro record of 33.

#2 BROOKE VAN SICKLE - 36 POINTS

Sicko mode on.

Brooke Van Sickle improved her 29-point outing in the PVL, as she registered a career-high 36 points built on 31 attacks, four blocks and an ace for the Petro Gazz Angels.

The Filipino-American athlete, who hails from Hawaii, added 10 excellent receptions to help the Angels get Game 1 of the Battle for Bronze against the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.

#3 SISI RONDINA - 33 POINTS

Ending the 2023 PVL season with a banger, Sisi Rondina exploded for 33 points for Choco Mucho. At the time, this was the highest for a local player in the pro era.

Unfortunately, these weren’t enough for the Flying Titans to take down the mighty Creamline Cool Smashers in the Finals.

#4-A DINDIN SANTIAGO-MANABAT - 32 POINTS

The previous PVL Finals high for a local belonged to Dindin Santiago-Manabat.

Playing the game of her life, Dindin dropped 32 big ones on Creamline, leading the Chery Tiggo Crossovers to a dramatic Game 3 comeback to win the first-ever PVL championship in the pro era in Ilocos.

#4-B DINDIN SANTIAGO-MANABAT - 32 POINTS

Yep, Dindin has two entries here. She was the first PVL local to have multiple 30-point games since the league turned pro.

This one is a bit lost in the grand scheme of things, as it came in the classification round of the 2022 PVL Open Conference, but Dindin can take claim on scoring the first two 30-pieces as a PVL pro.

#4-C TRISHA TUBU - 32 POINTS
(April 23, 2024 | Farm Fresh vs Choco Mucho)


The young Trisha Tubu showed she can battle with the best of them, as she poured 32 points in the Farm Fresh Foxies' valiant stand against Sisi Rondina and the Choco Mucho Flying Titans to end their 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

It's a new career-high for the young Tubu, built on 30 attacks and two blocks--eclipsing her previous personal record of 30 markers.

#4-D SISI RONDINA - 32 POINTS

In just four sets, the Cherry Bomb exploded for 32 points, leading the Flying Titans straight to the All-Filipino Finals. Rondina blasted for 30 points, a block, and an ace along with nine excellent digs and seven excellent receptions.

She became the fourth local player to register two entries in this list after Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Tots Carlos, and Trisha Tubu.

#8-A KAT TOLENTINO - 31 POINTS

Kat Tolentino joined Dindin in the 30-point club very early in the 2022 PVL Invitational Conference, flashing her scoring prowess for Choco Mucho.

However, like Rondina’s losing effort on top of this list, Kat’s 31-point explosion went for naught as the Flying Titans fell victim to the HD Spikers in a five-set heartbreaker.

#8-B GRETHCEL SOLTONES - 31 POINTS

364 days after Kat’s 31, Grethcel Soltones scored her own 31 in the 2023 PVL Invitational.

Soltones delivered a vintage performance, leading the Angels to a sensational five-set win that saw them recover from a 33-35 loss in Set 4.

#8-C SAVANNAH DAVISON - 31 POINTS
(November 23, 2023 | PLDT vs Choco Mucho)


Savannah Davison wasted no time establishing herself as a power player for PLDT in her debut PVL conference to end the 2023 PVL season.

Her crown jewel so far was a magnificent 31-point outburst against Choco Mucho, all of which came from attacks. Unfortunately, her career-high came in a five-set loss to the Flying Titans.

#8-D TOTS CARLOS - 31 POINTS

Tots Carlos became the second person to register two entries in this list--all coming this 2024 All-Filipino Conference.

The Creamline star had the first 30-piece of the 2024 PVL season, scoring a then-career-high 31 in the Cool Smashers' win over the Chargers.

#8-E SISI RONDINA - 31 POINTS

Deja vu?

For a second straight Game 2 of the PVL Finals, Sisi Rondina emptied the clip for Choco Mucho, this time firing 31 points against Creamline. But like her 33-point outburst for the Flying Titans in Game 2 of the 2023 2nd All-Filipino Conference, her numbers just couldn't quite push her team over the hump just yet.

Nevertheless, Rondina now has the most 30-point games by a local since the PVL turned pro, a mighty achievement considering she has only played just three full conferences with Choco Mucho.

#13-A TRISHA TUBU - 30 POINTS

In a true “introduce yourself” moment, Trisha Tubu dropped 30 points for Farm Fresh in the PVL 2nd All-Filipino Conference.

But in what is a rather sad theme on this list, the Foxies couldn’t quite score the signature win of their young franchise, losing to the Cargo Movers in five sets.

#13-B JOLINA DELA CRUZ - 30 POINTS

Jolina Dela Cruz was the second rookie to have a 30-piece to close the 2023 PVL season, leading the fight for F2 Logistics against Cignal.

#13-C BROOKE VAN SICKLE - 30 POINTS
(May 12, 2024 | Petro Gazz vs Chery Tiggo)

Brooke Van Sickle is a certified bucket-getter. After her career-high 36 in Game 1 of the bronze series against Chery Tiggo, BVS fired another 30 in Game 2, albeit in a five set loss. Nevertheless, Van Sickle is the first local since the PVL turned pro to submit back-to-back games with at least 30 points.
