DLSU Green Spiker Noel Kampton is living proof that being a "mama's boy" is something to be proud of.
After their tough loss against the three-time defending champions, the NU Bulldogs, in a heart-pounding virtual best-of-three semifinals, the 24-year-old Kampton ran and hugged his biggest fan, none other than his mom.
"Hindi ko kaya na mabuhay ako dito 'pag wala 'yong mommy ko. Every game na talo ako or panalo ako, I just want to go and hug her kasi 'pag talo, gusto ko i-release 'yong galit ko. 'Pag panalo gusto ko rin i-release 'yong saya ko. Kanina lumapit ako sa kaniya kasi feel ko na do'n ako magiging chill, mare-relax ako. Kasi na-hug ko si mommy," said Kampton to One Sports.
From volleyball to the fun trends on TikTok, Kampton and his mom share a genuine bond.
And just in time for Mother's Day, the DLSU Green Spiker star expressed his heartfelt support for the leader of his fan club.
"I just want to say Happy Mother's Day, Mom. I really love you so much, and ikaw ang first priority ko palagi. Ikaw ang reason kung bakit ako nagstrive-hard sa pagiging volleyball [player] and as a student athlete din sa La Salle," said Kampton.
Behind every good player like Kampton is a proud mama, cheering him on every step of the way.
