Sisi Rondina, the decorated 5-foot-6 spiker is proof that big plays come in small packages.

While she may not be blessed with height, Rondina has a strong fighting spirit, and the firepower to boot, that even the tallest prides of Australia are left stunned.

‘Di ko akalain na sa liit kong ‘to ay kaya kong makapagsabayan sa sport na gusto ko. Dumaan ako sa napakahirap na sitwasyon. Pero ‘di ako tumigil para ipakita kung anong meron na kakayahan ng isang katulad ko,” narrated Sisi in her previous Instagram reel.

In their opening match against Australia, it seems like the Alas Pilipinas were facing the Goliaths due to the Australian’s towering presence. But just like the original story unfolds, it was the Davids who won after all. Alas Pilipinas outplayed Australia in a nail-biting four-setter.

In the spirit of having healthy competition, Australia’s middle blocker Kara Inskip posted about her admiration for Alas Pilipinas’ star Sisi in her TikTok.

“Getting bounced on by Sisi Rondina, she’s so good,” Kara wrote.

“HAHAHA she amazes me,” added Alas Pilipinas’ Fifi Sharma.

“Me too, y’all are both so good,” replied Kara to Fifi.

As they face once again for a knockout bronze medal match, Kara stated that she is excited to play against the Philippines one more time.

“You’ll meet again to fight for the bronze. Best of luck Australia,” TikTok user commented.

“Thank you! We are so excited to play [against] the Philippines again. It will be a good game!” Kara replied.

We can’t wait to witness another edge of the seat, yet healthy showdown between the Alas Pilipinas and Australia, LIVE at 4:00 p.m. at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
