For Filipino volleyball fans, the prospect of having the accomplished playmaker Jia Morado-De Guzman and the skilled tall spiker Sachi Minowa on the same team would be a sight to behold.
Although that hasn’t materialized yet, these two volleyball icons have come together in Japan—not as teammates, but as friends and fellow kababayans.
In Jia’s latest Instagram post, she shares some delightful snapshots from her trip to Osaka, captioning it with, “Great company and new experiences in beautiful Osaka.”
Joined by her husband, Miguel, and friend Sachi Minowa, they’re truly enjoying their time in Japan.
Jia de Guzman has been re-signed by the Denso Airybees for the 2024–25 Japan V. League season, while Jaja Santiago has officially obtained her Japanese citizenship after years of hard work and dedication.
