From VeeWise to Hadji to Alodia Gosiengfiao, there's no shortage of tributes to Blacklist International in the aftermath of the decision to bid farewell to MPL Philippines.
No more ‘breaking the code’ for Blacklist International.
The well-decorated esports club officially bid farewell to the MPL Philippines after five successful years, leaving the competition as perhaps one of the more successful franchises in recent memory.
"Though we believe in the future of the MLBB community, with a heavy heart, we bid a bittersweet farewell to the Blacklist MLBB men’s team, as the organization has decided to transfer our MPL Franchise Ownership to a new organization for MPL Season 15," the official Facebook statement read, Tuesday, January 21.
Citing the difficult decision was made due to a ‘new directions’ that were presented, Blacklist reiterates its focus on “developing our rosters for our existing titles."
“As one story ends, so begins another. Regardless of the future, we will always be proud of our past, and the stories that we had together will remain in our hearts forever," the statement ended.
First bursting into the local MLBB scene in 2020, the Code Breakers carved out a legacy like no other while playing a major role in putting the Philippines in the international MLBB stage.
They dominated MPL-PH Seasons 7, 8, and 10 while also finishing as runners-up and fourth-placers in the competition twice. But perhaps Blacklist’s most impressive feat is conquering the M3 World Championships on top of silver-medal finishes in M4 and M5.
Some of its most renowned players include the VeeWise tandem, as well as Hadji, Edward, and Oheb, who took time to social media to extend their gratitude to the multi-titled franchise.

MPL Philippines also expressed its gratitude to Blacklist International in a touching tribute video highlighting some of Blacklist’s most iconic wins.
