Gilas Pilipinas’ Calvin Oftana, Mason Amos, Kevin Quaimbao, and Chris Newsome are grateful beyond words for the opportunity to represent the nation in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Riga, Latvia.

Despite falling short of their Olympic dreams, Calvin Oftana remained grateful for the opportunity to represent the Philippines.

Win or lose, UAAP Season 86 champion and MVP Kevin Quiambao was proud to represent the country at the highest level.
“We win together, We Learn Together. 🇵🇭,” Quaimbao wrote.

There is truly nothing to be ashamed of for Gilas Pilipinas despite their road to Paris coming to an end, as reaching the semifinals of the FIBA OQT was already a massive achievement for the national team.
Gilas Pilipinas will hold their heads high with pride and gratitude for the journey, as they move forward to the next one with the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers resuming in November.
