Ionescu became the latest WNBA star to have her own signature shoe.
Women’s basketball has grown significantly over the past few years, including here in the Philippines.
A proof of that is the trust that shoe companies have given to some of the WNBA’s brightest stars by giving them their own signature shoes.
Here are three current WNBA stars looking to dominate the shoe game with their own lines.
Sabrina Ionescu
The latest to join that trend is New York Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu.
The New York guard is set to introduce her own unique shoe line called the Nike Sabrina 1 in the upcoming WNBA season. This will be the 12th signature shoe line released in the history of the WNBA league.
Breanna Stewart
Also having her own signature shoe is Ionescu’s teammate, Breanna Stewart.
Stewart was given a signature shoe by Puma back when she was with the Seattle Storm, where she made her name as one of the WNBA’s greatest players ever.
Her first signature shoe even had the Seattle colorway—definitely a cop for many!
Elena Delle Donne
Another WNBA player with a signature shoe is Elena Delle Donne of the Washington Mystics.
Dubbed the Air Deldon, the shoe has had several colorways since its release in August last year.
The first colorway was actually inspired by Delle Donne’s battle with Lyme disease.
