The Azkals goalkeeper with a great opportunity to play under one of the greats.
Azkals and Birmingham City FC goalkeeper Neil Etheridge is set to play under one of England's finest after legend Wayne Rooney was appointed manager of the club.
The move happened with the international break in effect and the Azkals set to play against Bahrain in a friendly on October 17 in preparation for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
In a statement, Rooney said he wants to create a winning culture in Birmingham.
"I have a clear way that I want the team to play, and my coaching staff and I will work hard to implement it. We will create a winning culture here with an identity that gets Blues fans on their feet," the Manchester United great said.
As a player, Rooney won five Premier League titles and the Champions League with the Old Trafford club. He also captained England and has scored 53 goals for The Three Lions
Rooney is tasked to overturn a Birmingham squad that last played in top flight Premier League in 2011.
They currently sit sixth in the second-tier EFL Championship with 18 points.
