Sarina Bolden has been the Filipinas main scorer for a while now, so it's a bit surprising that the current national team scoring leader remains a free agent in the professional scene.

The 27-year-old striker last played for the A-League's Western Sydney Wanderers last season.

Filipinas coach Mark Torcaso said he's pushing Bolden to find a club ASAP because that could help the national team in the long run.

"I'm not sure what the situation with the clubs... but I got a conversation with Sarina about her football, what she needs to do, what she wants to. I encourage her to try and find a club as quickly as she can so coming into the next camp, she's ready. It's a challenge, but it's something that we'll do our best to make sure that players are landing in more places," the Filipinas chief said after the national team's 1-0 win over Iran in the AFC Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

The national team failed to advance to the final round of the qualifiers after finishing second in Group A. The Filipinas' members will now shift their attention to professional play as international duties take a break.

Torcaso assured he wouldl help the girls without contracts find a suitable club to play in. The 42-year-old tactician who also handles Western United said the A-League could be an option.

"It's a good competition to play in the A-League. It's provided a platform for a lot of players. If we can, if I can help support that with connections and coaches that I know... a hundred percent, I will," Torcaso said.

"If they want me to help, then I'll try to find them a club if I can."
