The ending got quite frenetic.
Two weeks ago, the Meralco Bolts got the stunning upset when they defeated Japan B.League champion Ryukyu Golden Kings in the East Asia Super League (EASL).
On Wednesday, the Seoul SK Knights just barely survived becoming the second straight victim of Meralco after eking out an 81-80 victory at the PhilSports Arena.
Former Dallas Mavericks center Jameel Warney was at the vanguard for the SK Knights, tallying a team-high 31 points, along with seven rebounds, six assists, two steals, and a block in all 40 minutes of action.
Partida, they haven't probably finished their Christmas dinner leftovers.
"A win is a win. We just got here yesterday after playing on Christmas. So, we're tired. Our legs are tired. We have a flight tonight. We have another game on December 30th," Warney said after the game, as quoted by the EASL website.
"We have a lot of games right now, so we're just happy to get a win no matter if it's an ugly win or beautiful loss. We just want to win games."
The Bolts were down 81-72 with two minutes and a half left in the final quarter. But they managed to go on a scoring spree to trim the lead to just one with a chance to win it.
But reigning Korean Basketball League MVP Kim Sun Hyung intercepted Chris Banchero's pass to preserve the victory.

"It's crazy man. You saw that last five minutes, it was really exciting, really crazy. We're glad we're out with a win because it really got a little hectic," Warney added.
Zach Lofton led Meralco with 32 points and seven rebounds.
The Bolts, sitting at the bottom of Group B with a 1-3 record, will next take on the New Taipei Kings on January 3 before a rematch against the SK Knights on February 7.
