The PH women's softball team are out to make history.
The Philippine Blu Girls are set to compete in the upcoming WBSC U-18 Women's Softball World Cup after being awarded of a wild card slot.
Out of the 13 teams that have already qualified for the tournament, the Philippines is ranked No. 14 in the world.
The tournament will kick off with 18 teams divided into three groups.
The Philippines will be part of Group C, competing against powerhouse teams like the top-ranked USA, No. 10 Australia, No. 21 Ireland, and two other teams from the Americas.
The group stage matches will unfold from August 29 to September 2 at The Village Dallas in Dallas, Texas.
The top two teams from each group and two wild cards will advance to the World Championship Finals in Dallas in the summer of 2025.
The Blu Girls had an exciting run during the 2023 Women’s Softball World Cup, proving they can go toe-to-toe against the top softball nations.
