28 points mark a new career-high for Kai Sotto, breaking the 26 points he set against the Chiba Jets in a Yokohama B-Corsairs win in February.
Kai Sotto certainly did all he could against a top team in Alvark Tokyo.
Sotto scored a career-high 28 points for Yokohama Saturday, but the B-Corsairs took a tough 81-75 loss to second-ranked Tokyo in Division 1 action of the B.League.
28 points mark a new career-best for Kai, breaking the 26 points he set against the Chiba Jets in February.

While the B-Corsairs took the loss, it’s a nice bounce-back performance for Sotto, who saw his eight-game streak of double-digit scoring snapped last time out, scoring only seven points against FE Nagoya.
Sotto scored 16 points in the second half as he tried to will the B-Corsairs to a huge upset. However, Tokyo turned the game around in the last four minutes, using a 13-4 run to turn a one-point deficit into a 78-70 lead.
Aside from his 28 points, Kai also grabbed six rebounds and shot 12/15 from the field.
B.League MVP Yuki Kawamura added 15 points and 10 assists for the B-Corsairs.
Five players scored in double figures for Alvark Tokyo, led by 18 from Leonardo Meindl.
In other results, Dwight Ramos scored 17 points, but Levanga Hokkaido took a 96-74 beating from Osaka Evessa.
RJ Abarrientos was also in double figures with 10 points, but his Shinshu Brave Warriors couldn’t get past FE Nagoya, 76-69. Ray Parks Jr. was limited to just five points in 20 minutes, but the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins handily beat the Toyama Grouses, 102-85.
In the B2, Kiefer Ravena had 14 points and six assists in a 78-70 Shiga Lakes win over Bambitious Nara, while Roosevelt Adams contributed seven points as the Yamagata Wyverns beat the Koshigaya Alpgas, 93-86.
