Ethan Alvano becomes the first Filipino Asian Quota Player to win MVP, and second to win a major award after RJ Abarrientos won Rookie of the Year in the KBL last year.
In a season to remember, Ethan Alvano is named as Most Valuable Player of the Korean Basketball League.
The KBL made the announcement Monday, with the Alvano taking domestic MVP. His Wonju DB Promy teammate Dedric Lawson was named Foreign MVP.
Alvano and Lawson were also named in the Best 5, alongside Lee Jung Hyun, Kang Sang-jae, and Paris Bass.
Playing his second season in Korea, Alvano averaged 15.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.5 steals while playing all 54 games. His points per game is 11th in the KBL, while his assist mark is tied for first.
Alvano led Wonju DB Promy to a 41-13 record, the best in the KBL.
