The result was confirmed Wednesday, as the NeoPhoenix beat the Toyama Grouses by 34 points, 96-62.
Thirdy scored 13 points in the victory, while also adding two rebounds and two steals as San-en improved to 41-10 for the season.
The NeoPhoenix are the first confirmed conference champions in the B1, with the East still being contested by mainly the Utsunomiya Brex and Alvark Tokyo.
Out West, defending B1 champion Ryukyu Golden Kings are trying to hold off the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins.
For the B1 playoff picture, the Brex, the NeoPhoenix, and Tokyo all have their spots booked in the eight-team bracket.
By virtue of being a conference champion, a first in franchise history, San-en is guaranteed to be a top-3 seed in the playoffs. That means the NeoPhoenix will also host their quarterfinals series when the final pairings are decided.
