Filipino-American guard Ethan Alvano will remain in the Korean Basketball League (KBL).

Wonju DB Promy announced on Monday that Alvano, who become the first non-Korean player to capture the KBL MVP award, will remain with the team for the upcoming 2024-2025 season.

The 27-year-old Alvano played in all 54 games last season and led Wonju to the top seed with averages of 15.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 6.6 assists as as an Asian Quota import.

Alvano and DB Promy, however, fell short against eventual champion Busan KCC Egis in the KBL semifinals.

The Fil-Am guard was among 11 Filipino players that competed in the KBL last season, alongside Rhenz Abando, SJ Belangel, Juan Gomez de Liaño, Dave Ildefonso, Justin Gutang, Migs Oczon, Alex Cabagnot, Joshua Torralba, as well as Filipino-Canadians Calvin Epistola and Avan Nava.

Alvano signed with Wonju back in 2022 for a two-year contract worth 200 million Korean won.

With another season in Korea, Alvano will look to continue his stellar play and lead Wonju to a championship season this time around.
