EJ Obiena cleared 5.82 meters for a top-5 finish at the Silesia Diamond League, his second meet following the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
EJ Obiena’s fight for form continues.
The Filipino pole vault star has another solid result post-Paris 2024, taking a top-5 finish at the Silesia Diamond League on Sunday (PHL time).
However, no. 5 is a slight downgrade for Obiena, who finished in joint third at Lausanne a week prior.

Still, the final clearance was the same for EJ, who cleared 5.82 meters at both Diamond League events. In Silesia, Obiena failed his first two attempts at 5.92 meters and then opted to use his final jump at 6.0 meters.
Winning at Silesia was world no. 1 Armand Duplantis, who reset his own world record by jumping 6.26 meters.

Sam Kendricks and Emmanouil Karalis cleared 6.0 meters for second and third, while KC Lightfoot finished fourth with a clearance of 5.92 meters.
