Sachi Minowa (Jaja Santiago) and the Osaka Marvelous are off to a fine start in the new SV.LEAGUE season in Japan.

Minowa delivered an outstanding performance in the second of a two-game series against the Toray Arrows helping Osaka to a 2-0 sweep in Week 1 of the 2024-25 SV.LEAGUE season.

In the second game against Toray, Minowa was a force at the net, scoring 17 points with 10 attacks, five blocks, and two aces to help Osaka secure a 25-20, 25-15, 25-27, 25-20 win.

After a quieter showing in the first match, where she scored seven points while only playing from the third set onwards, Minowa certainly bounced back with a more dominant display.

The first game was a tightly contested five-set affair, with Osaka winning 18-25, 26-24, 23-25, 25-18, 15-13.

Osaka joins the SAGA Hisamitsu Springs and the Denso Airybees as early season leaders, with all teams sporting 2-0 records.
