Kai Sotto is back in the B.LEAGUE after Gilas Pilipinas duties, submitting dominant games for the Koshigaya Alphas.
Kai Sotto is back to his dominant self.
Fresh from another impressive stint with Gilas Pilipinas in the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers, Sotto carried the momentum back to Japan’s B.LEAGUE with the Koshigaya Alphas.
In his first weekend back in the B1, Kai submitted back-to-back 20 point games for the Alphas in a series against FE Nagoya.
Sotto fired 20 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in a 94-90 loss Saturday, only to bounce back with a 101-71 win Sunday.
In the dominant bounce back victory, Kai went for 24 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block.
Playing for Gilas in another perfect window, Sotto had 19 points and 10 rebounds in a historic win against New Zealand. He followed that up with a solid 12-point, 15-rebound outing vs. Hong Kong.
Also returning to the B.LEAGUE after Gilas duties is Dwight Ramos, who scored 21 points in the first game and nine points in the second game for Levanga Hokkaido against defending champion Hiroshima Dragonflies.
Unfortunately, Hokkaido lost both games.
