Dwight Ramos and the Levanga Hokkaido played in a special venue for their Japan B.LEAGUE match against the SeaHorses Mikawa on Saturday, December 28.
Instead of their usual arena at the Hokkai Kitayell, Levanga hosted Mikawa at the Es Con Field Hokkaido, a baseball field that was turned into a basketball court for the weekend's Winter Classic. The field normally houses the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.
According to Levanga Hokkaido, fans can enjoy watching the game live on a large LED screen from the tents and benches set up around the field. They can also enjoy playing catch on the grass or other activities set up in the arena.
For the momentous occasion, Ramos made sure to come out to the venue in style—and by style, through a sports car.
It’s not every day that a player can come out to the arena while riding a vehicle, let alone a luxury car at that.
Amid the festivities, Ramos and the rest of the Hokkaido squad will look to secure two straight victories over Mikawa during the weekend.
