Character over intellect.

Osaka Evessa’s Ray Parks proves that his greatness stretches far beyond the basketball court.

While he's known for his impressive skills on the court, Ray’s heart belongs to his family, and he’s shown time and again that being a loving father is his most cherished role.

Before even getting engaged to YouTube content creator Zeinab last year, the Japan B-League star had shared how deeply fulfilled he felt having started his own family.

While academic success is important, Ray made sure to emphasize the significance of a strong, kind heart.

"Wow, you got a GPA of 91.07. You are very smart, Kuya. I’m super proud of you," he said, beaming with pride.

But it was his words that followed that made this moment unforgettable: "More than brains, Kuya, you are a great son. I know, you know, grades mean a lot, but Kuya, your character means more to me."

This touching moment quickly went viral, with netizens applauding Ray for his devotion as a father. It's a beautiful reminder that anyone can be a father, but it takes a special man to truly be a dad.
