Javi Gomez de Liaño and the Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters are finally back to the win column after snapping a 10-game losing skid against SJ Belangel and the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus, 74-67, at the Anyang Gymnasium in the 2024-25 KBL season on Sunday, January 12.

Gomez de Liaño, who has been a steady contributor for the struggling Anyang, was one of five players in double figures for the Red Boosters, finishing with 12 points and four rebounds.

After trailing at halftime, Anyang outscored Daegu, 44-30, in the second half to pump life into their season with only their 8th win of the season.

Hyo-Geun Jeong paced the Red Boosters to victory with 18 points, five boards, and two assists.

Meanwhile, SJ Belangel had 10 points and four assists in the losing effort, where a monster double-double from Youssopha Ndoye went down the drain.

Ndoye had 28 points and 28 rebounds but still couldn’t tow the KOGAS to the win as they continued their up-and-down campaign for the season.

KOGAS are currently at 16-12 for the year.

Meanwhile, Miguel Oczon cooled down after a career-high 31 points in a loss on Friday as he finished with two points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals Sunday, but the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus managed to get the win over Wonju DB Promy, 94-69.

Shawn Long was the driving force in Mobis Phoebus’ 20th win of the year with 25 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
