For his recent strong play, Changwon LG Sakers’ Carl Tamayo got rewarded big-time in the Korean Basketball League.

Tamayo took home the MVP honors for round 3 of the ongoing KBL season, the league announced Wednesday, January 15.

Through his last six games, Tamayo averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 29 minutes of play.

That stretch saw the Gilas Pilipinas stalwart fire back-to-back 30-point games, including a career-high of 37 points against the Seoul Samsung Thunders.

Tamayo followed that up with a 31-point outing in a win against the Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters, before emerging victorious over JD Cagulangan and the Suwon KT Sonicboom.
