Sotto will now be around other Pinoy ballers, who are all looking to make a name for themselves in Japan.
As Kai Sotto makes his way to Japan, the 7-foot-2 big man will not be alone once he steps into the Land of the Rising Sun.
On Instagram, Pinoy imports in the Japan B.League welcomed Sotto to the league.
Thirdy Ravena of the San-en Neophoenix went for a simple greeting, using the Japanese flag emoji.
Bobby Ray Parks Jr. had a few more words to say in welcoming the Ateneo alum.
But it was Thirdy's elder brother, Kiefer, who went a different route. The Shiga Lakestars guard trolled Sotto in his welcome post, covering the 20-year-old’s face with his caption. Kai, of course, took notice.
Sotto is set to play for the Hiroshima Dragonflies, who are currently 4th in the standings with a 27-9 record.
Aside from the Ravena brothers and Parks, Sotto will also face the likes of Dwight Ramos, Matthew Wright, and Carl Tamayo in Japan.
