Marc Pingris' much-awaited PBA comeback is still in the works according to new Blackwater Bossing coach Jeff Cariaso.

According to Cariaso, he's still in the process of convincing the former Gilas Pilipinas big man to be a part of the Bossing's coaching staff.

"It’s not confirmed, whether that will happen or not, I can’t say. It’s funny because the true story is I was trying to get him, or I still am, he’s still deciding," Cariaso said in One Ph's Power and Play.

The idea was to put Pingris in charge of Blackwater's big man. Cariaso believes the nine-time PBA champion holds immeasurable experience that will be beneficial for the Bossing to take that leap to the next level.

"I think Ping is at the stage of his career where he could be a wonderful coach, where he could be a great coach in the likes of Danny Ildefonso. A guy who’s been a multiple All-Star, who’s been in the PBA for years. Ping and his stint with Gilas. He just has so much knowledge and experience to share, not just as a player but specifically for the big men of the team."

And there's a possibility too that the 42-year-old big man will enter the court again.

"Somehow within a conversation, there was an idea for him to play because I think he’s currently playing in the MPBL. That’s where that conversation started. To be honest, if we could have a playing coach in Marc Pingris, that might be the best of both worlds."

Now that's a comeback everyone is waiting for.
