Scottie Thompson’s second signature shoe is getting a fresh colorway.
The ST2 by World Balance is set to release a sleek black and white colorway dubbed the “Hero,” which the Ginebra star mostly wore during his national team duties with Gilas Pilipinas last year.
Scottie wore the colorway in the 2023 FIBA World Cup in Manila and most notably in China, where Gilas won the gold medal in the Asian Games.
“Sobrang saya kasi ilalabas ng World Balance yung ST2 Hero colorway,” Thompson said.
“Very historic and very special yung sapatos na yun para sa akin,” he added.
The “Hero” colorway does away with the loud red motif of the ST2 “Reign” and instead opts for black and white, with the main body inspired by Barong Tagalog.
Gold hits adorn the branding, while national team colors of red and blue get subtle placements on the heel tabs and traction pods. The ST2's latest colorway is set to hit shelves next month.
