A game-changing 27-9 third quarter paved the way for Hong Kong Eastern's third victory and kept Blackwater Bossing winless.
Eastern erased a 10-point halftime deficit to frustrate the Blackwater Bossing, 84-75, in their PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup encounter on Tuesday, Dec. 10. at the FilOil Centre, San Juan.
The Hong Kong based-squad overturned a 49-39 halftime deficit into a 66-58 lead entering the fourth frame after riding a surging 25-7 run during the second half.
They led by as many as 16 points and fended off a late Blackwater rally to tally their fourth win in five games so far.
Despite George King’s 31-point first half and a returning Sedrick Barefield, the Bossing failed to protect their lead and suffered a third-straight defeat to remain winless.
Up next for Eastern are the crowd-favorite Barangay Ginebra Kings (0-0) on Sunday, Dec. 15 while Blackwater faces the unbeaten Meralco Bolts (3-0) on Thursday, Dec. 12.
