The NLEX Road Warriors remain in the running for a quarterfinal seat in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup.
NLEX nearly squandered a 22-point lead but turned to its three-point sniping to thwart Rain or Shine, 122-110, and stay alive in the playoff race in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup at the Ynares Center Antipolo Saturday, Jan. 25.
The Elasto Painters, aiming to secure their seat in the quarters, battled in the third, largely behind Jhonard Clarito, to repeatedly trim a 51-73 gap to single digits, the last at 79-86 at the end of the frame.
But Anthony Semerad and Xyrus Torres connected from the three-point range in the fourth to widen the separation anew for NLEX.
