Whose staredown skills are on point?
Mind games are all part of the competition, especially in volleyball matches. And any fierce swag can help boost a team's morale, while utterly crushing the willpower of the opponent.
So the PLDT High Speed Hitters had a mini-competition of their own ahead of the PVL Invitational Conference. Who had the best staredown skills?
Some of them were just way too sweet to deliver attitude, like veteran setter Rhea Dimaculangan and spiker Jules Samonte.
Team captain Mika Reyes in particular, does not seem to have a mean bone in her body—aside from always looking fresh.
Some delivered something other than swag. This better not awaken something in us.
Some members of PLDT were just simply natural in looking mataray. As an athlete, a resting b***h face can be a gift. Just ask Mean Mendrez, Jovy Prado, and Royse Tubino.
And then, there are those who just ooze intimidation when they feel like it. Apparently, the UE Lady Red Warriors are born for it. Take a look at libero Kath Arado.
But the queen of angas might just be Mich Morente. Just take a look at that fierce mug!
The High Speed Hitters will be competing in Group A of the Invitational Conference against the Akari Chargers, Chery Tiggo Crossovers, Creamline Cool Smashers, and Gerflor Defenders.
PLDT's first match is on July 1, Saturday, against the Chargers at the FilOil EcoOil Arena, and will be featuring key-sign ups such as veteran spiker Tubino and NCAA Best Setter Venice Puzon.
