The Chery Tiggo Crossovers made waves before the start of the PVL Invitational Conference as they signed five star-studded rookies in Eya Laure, Imee Hernandez, Joyme Cagande, Cess Robles, and Jen Nierva.

Unfortunately, they fell short of a semifinals slot after losing in the last day of the preliminaries, bowing to the PLDT High Speed Hitters in five sets.

Hernandez, who had a breakout game of 12 points in the match, expressed she had no regrets signing up with the Crossovers.

"So happy and blessed to be part of this family. We'll definitely come back stronger," Hernandez posted in an Instagram story.

Overall, the middle blocker tallied 27 points coming from 24 spikes, 2 blocks, and an ace in this conference.

"Kudos to our seniors for guiding and for being so patient with us. Babawi po tayo, promise," she added.

The Crossovers will be in for another tough match as they take on the Choco Mucho Flying Titans on Saturday, July 22, for classification.
