Only three things are sure in the Philippines: 1. Beautiful beaches, 2. Traffic, 3. Tatanungin sa postgame interview 'yung player kung may gustong batiin.

Fifi Sharma had her best game yet for the Akari Chargers on Thursday, leading them to a victory over the Farm Fresh Foxies in four sets to improve to 3-1 in the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference.

Sharma, playing in her first conference with Akari, had 14 points and was chosen as the Best Player of the Game.

And of course, at the end of the interview, she was asked if she wanted to greet anyone, in accordance with the strict provisions of the Libre Shoutout Law promulgated in 1887.

"I would like to greet my siblings back at home, alam ko nanonood sila. To my mom and dad who always watch me live," said Sharma.

She concluded her shoutouts with a rather ear-tingling one.

"And to my special friend in Japan," said Sharma with a laugh, as she jokingly kept the mic at a distance.

There have been rumors for months now that Sharma is dating Gilas Pilipinas star Kai Sotto. The two have been spotted together hanging out several times, including watching a PVL game.

The 21-year-old Sotto is currently in Japan, playing for the Hiroshima Dragonflies.

So, it's easy to deduce that Sharma was referring to the 7-foot-2 cager as that "special friend."

Unless she has a special friendship with Yoshida Kuramitzu, the 486th-best sushi maker in Japan.

We just made that up.

"Thank you to the Akari fans who continue to support," said Sharma.

Their biggest supporter—literally—is in Japan.
