Best wishes for Cienne and Peter!
She used to have everyone's backs. Now, she has one who will always have hers, too.
Cienne Cruz, the 2018 PVL Open Conference Best Libero for the Petro Gazz Angels, now has a teammate for life. The former Angel shared an incredibly sweet message for partner Peter Guenther after the two got married.
"So, I just married my best friend," she started. "I have played for some awesome teams in the past. But you are by far the best teammate God has ever given me."
"As we trust in HIS perfect game plan and enjoy every step of the process, I promise to cheer for you and encourage you through adversity and honor you and celebrate with you through victory. I love you Peter, now and forever."
Cruz's former Petro Gazz teammates, Rem Palma and Dzi Gervacio, were quick to post their well wishes.
Her former teammates with the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, such as Ara Galang, Kim Kianna Dy, and Aby Maraño, also posted their congratulations.
Other PVL players also sent the couple their own messages. Among them were PLDT High Speed Hitters Mika Reyes and Michelle Morente, Creamline Cool Smashers Michele Gumabao and Jeanette Panaga, Choco Mucho Flying Titan Jem Ferrer, and Nxled Chameleon Jannine Navarro. Yep, the PVL is one big family that way.
Cruz and Guenther have been engaged since July, with the latter pulling out this lowkey but utterly heartwarming proposal:
Cruz then said goodbye to her longtime squad Petro Gazz in September as she moved towards the next chapter of her life.
