The Cignal HD Spikers have been on fire as of late as they have won five straight contests in the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference.

After their thrilling four-set victory over the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers on Thursday, the HD Spikers moved to fourth place in the standings with a 6-2 record.

Reigning PVL Invitational Conference MVP Ces Molina, who led the way for Cignal with 22 points, emphasized the importance of continuing their fine form to achieve their goal of reaching the semifinals once more.

“Itong game na ito, sobrang importante sa amin, so 'yung susunod pa naming games mas importante pa,” Molina said during the postgame press conference. “Kailangan namin mas magtrabaho pa and padulo na ito, so kailangan doon na kami kumapit, doon na kami bumakbak.”

She also shared how they stay composed and motivated during tense moments.

"Nandun naman 'yung coaches namin to remind us na kumalma kami, and alam mo 'yung pagdating mo sagame, when you come in prepared, alam mo na 'yung gagawin mo along the way," said Molina.

In a short tournament like the PVL, peaking at the right time is very important, and the HD Spikers are seemingly on their way to securing a semifinals spot, with Vanie Gandler and Jovelyn Gonzaga also providing major contributions.

Coach Shaq delos Santos, however, maintained that they cannot be overconfident at any point in the tournament.

“Siguro meron ding advantage para sa amin (sa pag-peak) pero siyempre hindi rin puwede kasi kahit ganun 'yung schedule, hindi ka puwede maging complacent,” said Delos Santos.

Up next for Cignal will be another tough match as it faces the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, who have also looked dominant as of late, on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
