The super rookie played through her sickness in the Crossovers' final PVL Second All-Filipino Conference game.
Eya Laure was feeling under the weather when the Chery Tiggo Crossovers battled the Creamline Cool Smashers in Game 2 of the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference finals. But the super rookie did not let her sickness be an excuse.
Despite her condition, Laure fought through in what would be the Crossovers' final game of the conference. The defending champions eventually prevailed in straight sets, completing the semifinals sweep against Chery Tiggo as Laure finished with five points.
After the heartbreaking loss, the 24-year-old hitter said she did not regret her decision to play.
Before that kailangan naming matapos ‘yung semis. Laure told reporters after the match.
Even after falling short of the ultimate goal, Laure remains upbeat about their achievement in her first conference in the pro ranks.
