How Chery Tiggo star Pauline Gaston draws 'inspiration' from actress Angelica Panganiban

How Chery Tiggo star Pauline Gaston draws
PVL

The Chery Tiggo Crossovers were decisively eliminated by the Creamline Cool Smashers in the semifinals of the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference.

But make no mistake, the campaign of Pauline Gaston and her teammates in the season-ending tourney was a success. For sure, it has nothing to do with the bubbly outside hitter’s cranky mood lately.

Gaston herself admitted on Instagram Story that she’s feeling a bit grumpy because it's that time of the month. But staying true to her cheerful personality, the 26-year-old spiker hit the Cinema One archives to share how she’s feeling at the moment.

“Tuesday na po ngayon. Hahahahaha, pms yesterday,” Gaston jokingly wrote, reposting a movie clip featuring Camille Pratts and Angelica Panganiban when they were still child stars.

The film was Ang Pulubi at ang Prinsesa. Here’s how the unintentionally funny scene went:

Camille: Hindi ka ba napapagod maging masungit?

Angelica: E anong pakialam mo?

Amusingly, the movie was released in 1997, the same year Gaston was born. Perhaps she felt a special connection there. Plus, she was truly enamored by how cute Panganiban was when she was just 11 years old.

Pauline couldn’t help but tag the now 37-year-old actress in her post.

“Cutie, cutie talaga @iamangelicap,” she added.

It's worth mentioning that Gaston played for the Ateneo Blue Eagles, which Panganiban is a big fan of. That's probably how they became friends.

After the holidays, expect Gaston to put her game face back on and make pakialam, as the Crossovers will certainly look to capitalize on the momentum they have for the next PVL season.
