Middle blocker Lorene Toring is set to make her debut for the Farm Fresh Foxies ahead of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference resumption on January 18.
Farm Fresh Foxies middle blocker Lorene Toring is set to make her much-anticipated return to the court as she has been cleared to play in the upcoming resumption of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
After recovering from her ACL injury that sidelined her since UAAP Season 86, Toring expressed her eagerness to finally contribute to her team, balancing her excitement with cautious optimism.
"Mas excited ako makalaro ulit kesa takot,"Toring shared in a Farm Fresh interview. "Siyempre 'yung takot hindi mo maiaalis 'yan sa mga tulad ko na galing injury, pero nangingibabaw 'yung excitement na mailaro ko na 'yung pinaghirapan kong recovery with our PTs pati 'yung makatulong sa team."
The 6-foot middle blocker acknowledged the importance of easing into her return, emphasizing a gradual approach to ensure her recovery remains on track.
"Hindi biglaan na lalaro, dapat paunti-unti. Pero at least, sa wakas, pwede na," she added.
Toring’s comeback is expected to significantly boost Farm Fresh, which has shown flashes of potential in its first PVL season but has struggled to find consistent success.
Known for her presence at the net, Toring’s return could be the catalyst the Foxies need to turn into playoff contenders.
Farm Fresh will be back on January 18 as they face the winless Nxled Chameleons at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
