The PLDT High Speed Hitters made quick work of the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, 25-20, 25-16, 25-15, to finish as the no. 4 seed heading into the qualifying round of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The PLDT High Speed Hitters will finish among the top four after sweeping the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, 25-20, 25-16, 25-15, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the City of Passi Arena in Iloilo City on Saturday, February 22.
Bringing the momentum from their five-set victory over the Creamline Cool Smashers, the High Speed Hitters simply outclassed the Thunderbelles to finish the preliminaries with an 8-3 record.
In the third set, PLDT pulled away from a six-all tie behind an 11-3 blast led by Majoy Baron, Mika Reyes, and Angge Alcantara.
From there, the High Speed Hitters cruised to a commanding victory with Baron sealing the win after a quick attack given by Kim Fajardo.
Team captain Kath Arado was hailed the Player of the Game with 16 excellent digs.
PLDT will face ZUS Coffee once more in the qualifying round after the Jerry Yee-led squad finished as the no. 9 seed with a 4-7 record.
