Creamline started slow but got the job done, ousting Chery Tiggo, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-22, while securing its own ticket to its 17th straight semifinals in the PVL All-Filipino Conference Saturday, March 22.

After surrendering the first set, the Cool Smashers turned it up a notch, piling on the pressure to secure the next three frames to prevail in Game 2 of the quarters.

Up 2-1 in sets and with momentum on their side, the grand slam champs distanced themselves early in the fourth at 11-7 with a flurry of service aces coming from Bernadeth Pons and Bea de Leon.

Despite Chery Tiggo’s efforts to cut the deficit, Creamline remained cool under pressure as it went on a 6-0 tear to extend its lead to 19-12.

From there, the Cool Smashers cruised to the semis-clinching victory, with De Leon delivering the final attack.
