As the two powerhouse squads clash anew, this marks the fifth time that Petro Gazz and Creamline will battle for the crown, and third for the Open/All-Filipino title since 2019.

The last time the two teams met in the Finals was back in the 2023 1st All-Filipino Conference, where the Cool Smashers took down the Angels in Game 3.

The defending champions will field in the same core from its past title victories led by Alyssa Valdez, Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza, Bernadeth Pons, and Kyle Negrito.

On the other hand, the Angels are determined to bring home their third title in the PVL with Brooke Van Sickle, Myla Pablo, Jonah Sabete, MJ Phillips, Remy Palma, and Aiza Maizo-Pontillas all hungry for a championship.

Petro Gazz and Creamline both won a game from each other during the extended conference.

The Cool Smashers overpowered the Angels in the preliminary round with a commanding 25-19, 25-22, 25-16 win.

However, five months later, a revitalized Petro Gazz seized their opportunity for revenge in the conference semifinals, dictating the pace to shock Creamline with a decisive 25-23, 25-22, 21-25, 25-16 victory.

Now, with a championship at stake, expect another thrilling battle between the two teams.

Game 1 of the PVL All-Filipino Conference Finals begins on Tuesday, April 8 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
