The PVL will once again showcase world-class talent as Japan’s Kurashiki Ablaze and Kobe Shinwa Women’s University enter as guest teams for the 2025 PVL Invitational Conference.

Kurashiki, best remembered for its flawless championship run in the 2023 Invitational, returns to the Philippines with the same trademark discipline, speed, and precision that made it a crowd favorite.

The Ablaze also competed in the 2024 Invitational Conference, where the team settled for a bronze medal finish.

Meanwhile, Kobe Shinwa is finally set for its long-awaited PVL debut. The team was forced to withdraw from the 2022 edition due to health and safety protocols, after a member tested positive for COVID-19.

The two Japanese squads will go head-to-head with local heavyweights and PVL on Tour semifinalists Creamline, PLDT, Cignal, and Chery Tiggo, promising an explosive tournament that blends Japan’s fast-paced system with the Philippines’ power-driven style of play.

Before that, the High Speed Hitters and Crossovers will battle it out for the PVL on Tour crown set on Sunday, August 17, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
