They looked composed from start to finish.
Creamline Cool Smashers have not shown any sign of slowing down in their first two games without main spiker Alyssa Valdez in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.
Ironically, Jema Galanza said not being in a hurry was key in their masterful 25-16, 25-21, 25-15 win over Cignal HD Spikers on Thursday.
“Siguro ginagawa lang talaga namin 'yung best namin every set. Hindi kami nagmamadali, hangga’t maari relax lang,” said Galanza, who finished with 13 points.
“'Pag mag-e-error, kailangan lang itama agad. Ginagawa naman namin ‘to sa training kaya kailangan lang naming i-apply sa game.”
The Cool Smashers certainly looked cool and composed the entire game on their way to their second straight victory.
Michelle Gumabao topscored the team with 14 points including 2 blocks, while Tots Carlos chimed in 13 markers as Creamline grabbed solo lead in the season's opening conference.
Given all that, the former MVP says their team could still be steadier than they have been.
“Maging consistent pa,” Galanza said.
