F2 Logistics Cargo Movers team captain Aby Maraño summed up perfectly what happens when two volleyball giants collide.
The F2 Logistics made a good case for themselves as powerful contenders after beating the PVL All-Filipino conference defending champions Creamline Cool Smashers in five thrilling sets. The win is an extra confidence booster for the Cargo Movers considering Creamline hasn't dropped a single set prior to that match.
But aside from the massive win, Maraño pointed out the gravity of the see-saw match itself. The multi-titled middle blocker said these types of games help elevate the level of play in the country.
"Napakadekalidad ng laro. Dapat lang. Tumataas 'yung level ng volleyball sa Pilipinas kapag ganito 'yung klase ng mga laro sa PVL," Maraño said.
Creamline and F2 Logistics took turns winning sets in their clash on Saturday, before F2 Logistics came back from a 12-14 deficit in the deciding set to win the game.
Cargo Movers coach Regine Diego heaped praises to Creamline in what was a super tight battle of wits and brains.
"Sobrang saya ng game kasi, ang hirap din mag-coach kasi ang galing ng kalaban e. Alam niyo 'yun? Ang sarap maglaro kapag magaling ang kalaban," Diego said.
In the end, one team will always prevail. But the Philippine volleyball and its fans are the real winners when gigantic teams play to their best against each other.
