Ben Phillips will leave the De La Salle Green Archers program with a decorated resume on and off the court and the big man from reigning UAAP champions has punctuated a fruitful collegiate career with a heartfelt message.

In an Instagram post, Kuya Ben summarized the wild and fun ride.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I think basketball would come back into my life, followed by volleyball," Phillips said.

Phillips originally focused solely on school and gave up sports before taking his talents to La Salle.

"The ability to travel the world, play in front of thousands of people, and do it in front of thousands of people, and do it all with my brothers by my side is unreal."

Since joining the Green Archers, Phillips also had the chance to play for the Philippine team. La Salle's emotional leader has also played collegiate volleyball while he was in the basketball squad.

"Don't let anyone tell you what you can and can't do."

In his final statement, Kuya Ben has a promise to the La Salle community.

"I will continue to represent the Green and White in all of my future endeavors. As a businessman, scholar, speaker, author, and Lord willing, as a future professional basketball player," he said.

"I was told I came in as a 'plus one,' but I'll always remember leaving as a dual athlete, DLSU lifetime alumni, Gilas member, champion, captain, and future doctor. I pray that my actions inspire the next, ANIMO!"

Salute, Kuya Ben!
