It's great being in a team.
Camille Clarin was a picture of disappointment after the NU Lady Bulldogs relinquished the crown to the UST Growling Tigresses in UAAP Season 86.
She balled out the entire tournament and hoped to punctuate it with their eighth straight championship. They, however, fell short, as it was a promise fulfilled for the gritty Tigresses.
But in retrospect, Clarin still had an absolutely great year with the Lady Bulldogs. You can ask her.
On Saturday, the sweet-shooting sniper posted on TikTok a compilation video of her memorable moments with her teammates.
"Yeah, I got my girls," wrote the two-time UAAP champion.
From practices to parties to vacation trips, Clarin and the rest of the NU hoopers truly had fun being with each other. It is the kind of genuine chemistry that makes a winning group. You can't fake it.
The 22-year-old Clarin, who's also a mainstay of Gilas Pilipinas Women, embraced the leadership role more for the Lady Bulldogs this season. She's arguably the most vocal among the team's cogs—and for good reason. Her compilation video is a further testament to how she helps glue the team together to make sure that everyone feels included.
There were goof-off moments, serious team huddles, and dancing. A lot of dancing.
Not many probably know that Clarin, who was born in Antipolo but grew up in Canada, was supposed to play for a Division III school in the United States before eventually joining NU. Safe to say, she made the right choice—with or without the championship.
And as long as she got her girls, everything's going to be okay.
