The UAAP Season 86 Rookie of the Year did not want to miss out on the UST Golden Tigresses' biggest game this season.
Despite her ankle injury, Angge Poyos started for the University of Santo Tomas in Game 2 of the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball Finals on Wednesday, May 15 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
Poyos had been spotted warming up prior to the match amid uncertainties on her playing status. But in a report from UST correspondent Chelsea Rusiana, head coach Kungfu Reyes was able to field the star rookie after the swelling from her right ankle reached manageable condition.

With the Season 86 Rookie of the Year on the taraflex, the Golden Tigresses will look to tie the series and force a winner-take-all Game 3.
