It ain’t much to think about for Quentin Millora-Brown despite being on the receiving end of unsportsmanlike fouls from UST guard Forthsky Padrigao during UP’s finals-clinching win at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.

In his first and only season in the UAAP, Millora-Brown said that he wasn’t at all surprised that the Growling Tigers came out the way that they did — especially with the season on the line in their semis matchup.

Being surrounded by veteran coaches and teammates, the 6-foot-10 center wasn’t caught off-guard.

“I mean, just the coaches prepared us for that. They said whatever happens, the game’s gonna get scrappy. So just whatever happens, just play through it and just don’t let them get into your mind,” said Millora-Brown.

“Because you don’t want to be in a situation where you sacrifice a future for what we’re looking at. So they just prepared us that way,” he added.

Millora-Brown received an elbow from Padrigao with 3:24 left in the fourth quarter, which resulted in the latter’s ejection. Earlier in the ball game, Padrigao also tugged on the UP big man’s jersey, which was also called as an unsportsmanlike foul.

Understanding what’s on the line, Millora-Brown knows that the fight is only about to get even scrappier and harder.

Heading to UP with only one goal in mind, the Fil-Am cager will do whatever it takes to lead the Fighting Maroons back to the summit of UAAP glory.

“For me, it’s just all about winning. Whatever it takes. Everyone needs to step up on the team. Everyone knows that there’s going to be sacrifices that need to be made. Just being prepared to do whatever it takes,” said Millora-Brown.

Against UST, Millora-Brown was already doing wonders for UP with nine points, a game-high 19 rebounds, four blocks, and three assists. He took Player of the Game honors.

Now, Millora-Brown and the rest of the Fighting Maroons will await their finals opponents with the result of the Final Four game between the DLSU Green Archers and the Adamson Soaring Falcons.
