The DLSU Green Archers will be missing one more player when they face the Ateneo Blue Eagles on Sunday in UAAP Season 88.
Vhoris Marasigan will be missing out on La Salle’s battle against perennial rivals Ateneo on Sunday, November 9, as he serves a one-game suspension following a disqualifying foul, which he incurred during the Green Archers’ loss against the NU Bulldogs on Sunday, November 2.
Marasigan threw a closed left fist to the body of NU’s Omar John at the 4:52 mark of the second quarter prior to an inbound play which resulted in him getting tossed from the rest of the game.

The UAAP handed down the suspension after Marasigan’s second infraction.
His earlier incident occurred during La Salle’s game against UST on September 27 when he made a non-basketball play towards UST guard Kyle Paranada with 8:14 left in the fourth quarter which led to an unsportsmanlike foul (criteria 1).
La Salle is already missing two of its players due to injury, with Kean Baclaan and Mason Amos watching from the sidelines.
Marasigan’s suspension only adds to the woes of La Salle who are trying to keep up with NU at the top of the standings. The Green Archers currently hold a 6-4 record heading into the weekend’s rivalry match.
La Salle will be facing a Ateneo side which will be desperate to break their 5-game losing slump as they hope to even out their slate. They currently tout a 4-5 record and are out of the Final Four picture at the moment.
Marasigan’s suspension follows multiple player suspensions this year in the men’s and women’s tournament.
Other players who were slapped with suspensions include UE’s Wello Lingolingo (three games), NU’s Gelo Santiago (five games), and Ateneo’s Sarah Makanjoula (one game).
